VAN MILLWORK WINS THREE PRESTIGIOUS INDUSTRY AWARDS

Van Millwork, New England’s largest interior millwork specialist, is pleased to be honored with three prestigious industry awards: Builders Association of Greater Boston’s 2007 Gold PRISM Award for the “Best Home Theater/Media Room,” the Silver PRISM Award for “Best Showroom,” and the 2007 NARI (National Association of the Remodeling Industry) Contractor of the Year Award for “Specialty- Kitchen Cabinetry.” The PRISM Awards pay tribute to housing industry professionals for excellence in new construction, remodeling, design, sales and marketing, and a myriad of other categories directly related to the building and construction industry.

There were a record-breaking 305 entries from several hundred companies in this year’s competition - the largest awards program of its kind for builders, remodelers and associated professionals in the greater Boston area. The Contractor of the Year Award, (CoTY) presented by the Eastern Massachusetts National Association of the Remodeling Industry, is widely considered the premier competition of its kind for the remodeling industry.

An impartial panel of judges, who are considered experts within the industry and associated fields, selected winners based on each entrant’s “Before and After” photography and scope of the project. Judging was based on problem solving, functionality, aesthetics, craftsmanship, innovation, degree of difficulty and entry presentation. “We are extremely proud to be honored by both the Builders’ Association and NARI,” states Jim Donlin, CEO of Van Millwork. “We are honored to have great relationships with some of the finest architects and builders in the industry.

It’s very rewarding to be recognized for our part in creating great living spaces.” Donlin continues, “We are also extremely pleased to have our Needham showroom honored in this way. The Van Millwork Design Center in Needham features nine architecturally-themed rooms that reflect the architectural period represented by the trim work in each space.
